“For some, such as myself, preparation for university is no breeze. Figuring out what one is most competent at, where the avenues for one’s accomplishment are, and a sense purpose while also sustaining passion, can be a daunting task for young pupils in carving a future path for themselves. Lucy Sweatman may be the best person to align young students in finding an intersection with these critical questions. Lucy was the lead advisor who assisted me in answering such questions. Her approach was one of honesty, practicality and discipline. She stressed the importance of hard work, originality and objectivity which encouraged me to critically reflect on my current abilities so as to highlight my current strengths and weaknesses. Lucy met me as an underperforming pupil struggling with mathematics. However, under Lucy’s leadership and guidance, my tutors were able to support me with every possible resource at their disposal and constantly gave feedback on areas for improvement. This subsequently resulted in one of my weakest academic subjects becoming one of my highest performing, while also facilitating me to attend a top UK university of global standing. Lucy has greatly encouraged my will to achieve and gain confidence in areas I thought I would never have excelled.”
